Anyway,I was there,waiting for the signal to start.Looking around,I saw Betsy's
determined face and those fit guys stretching their bodies easily.I took a deep breath,trying to
calm my nerves.When the signal finally rang,we started running.At first,I managed to keep up
with the group,but soon my breath became heavy and my legs felt like lead.I wanted to give up,
but seeing Betsy running hard beside me,I forced myself to keep going.One step after another,I
struggled forward.
Now,sore as my body was,I'm willing to call the race a success.I crossed the finish line,
exhausted but proud.I realized that running this race wasn't just about the result.It was about
the courage to face my weakness and the perseverance to keep going.And the free beer after
the race tasted even better this time.I'm already looking forward to the next race,believing I'll
do better
